Field Farm, Stapleford

DPDS Consulting Group are pleased to report that the Broxtowe Aligned Core Strategy was adopted by the Council on 17 September 2014.

This reflects the formal endorsement of Field Farm, Stapleford which has been promoted for a number of years by DPDS on behalf of Westerman Homes. The site is now no longer within the Green Belt and is subject to an allocation within the Core Strategy for 450 new homes.

An outline planning application prepared by DPDS and illustrative masterplan prepared by DPDS Architecture received a resolution to grant planning permission by the Council prior to the examination of the Core Strategy. Pending receipt of the Core Strategy Inspectors report, the Secretary of State placed a holding direction on the Council which prevented the release of the planning permission.

The Council are now hopeful the adoption of the Core Strategy will enable this holding direction to be lifted and the planning permission released.

This will enable the developer to commence work and deliver much needed housing for Broxtowe Borough.
