Experienced Town Planner/Chartered Surveyor


Permanent - Pay Negotiable According to Experience and Qualifications

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, ambitious planner/surveyor to join our multidisciplinary team which enables us to adopt an integrated approach to development projects combining our skills and experience to maximise development potential whilst achieving high standards of design and remaining sensitive to the environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing town planning consultancy services and advice to clients.
  • Working on projects with a view to meeting agreed client requirements and deadlines.
  • Attending meetings with clients/local planning authorities and other stakeholders and to liaise directly with other professionals pursuant to effective management and conduct of projects.
  • Attending site visits and carry out site appraisals.
  • Provision of professional advice (in writing and verbally) directly to clients in consultation with the Project Director.
  • To communicate effectively with client contacts and external agencies bodies/authorities/consultants in respect of projects.

The candidate will ideally have some, but not necessarily all of the following:

  • Successfully completed a recognised RTPI Post Graduate course in Town & Country Planning or equivalent RICS course.
  • A positive approach to professional work and problem solving.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work to strict timetables.
  • Ability to be a team player but equally capable of working individually when required.
  • Some work experience post graduate level with either a consultancy or local planning authority.

Current projects include a wide range of schemes for major developer clients, local authorities as well as private clients. The work is varied and includes urban extensions, renewable energy projects, residential, educational, leisure, commercial and mixed use development schemes.
