With offices in Swindon and Derby, our staff are able to provide our clients with in depth local knowledge and expertise in all aspects of planning, development, landscape, environmental assessments, masterplanning and urban design, heritage and architectural design.

Position               Architectural Assistant/Architectural Technologist

We are  looking to recruit an experienced Architectural Assistant/Architectural Technologist.

All candidates must have exceptional communication skills and be proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, SketchUp and hand drawing. Further experience in a 3D programme such as Revit would be an advantage. Candidates should also have a valid UK driving licence.

We are seeking someone with very good design and detailing skills. The person must have good knowledge of Building Regulations and should be mindful of all aspects of sustainable design.

The position is open for a person who is motivated and ambitious, who wishes to work on projects in a number of different sectors and of varying sizes.

Salary will be dependent on experience.

DPDS Architecture is part of the larger DPDS Consulting Group which has been established for over 30 years and specialises in Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Environment and Town Planning with offices in Swindon and Derby.

Position               Graduate Town Planner

We are looking to recruit a forward-thinking and career-driven planning graduate for our Derby office, ideally with up to one year’s post qualification experience or an undergraduate placement year in either the public or private sector.   The ideal candidate will have a RTPI accredited degree and will be starting or undertaking their APC, although we will also consider applicants with a first degree and considering post-graduate training part time provided they have some relevant previous experience.

Conveniently located in Derby, DPDS have a strong reputation across the East Midlands with an established client base including private and public sector organisations.  The work involved will be varied including large residential, mixed-use, student accommodation and rural diversification schemes. The position provides a real  opportunity to be actively  involved in projects at all stages of the planning process, from  pre-application , public consultation, preparing and submitting applications, site appraisals, site promotion through Local Plans and appeals work including Public Inquiries as well as client exposure which will give you excellent commercial experience to develop your career.
