DPDS in association with AEA Technology were appointed by the MOD for the decommissioning of a research reactor within the Royal Naval College at Greenwich.

DPDS responsibilities extend to planning and listed buildings advice involving close contract with the London Borough of Greenwich, English Heritage and local amenity groups that had an interest in the project.

The decommissioning formed part of a longer term plan to make the Royal Naval College available for civilian use as a new university campus and involved works to the King William Building, a Grade II listed building and Scheduled Ancient Monument.
